In March of 2003 GeoNorth provided on-site services to implement an ArcIMS and MapOptix™ internet mapping solution in support of Lockheed Martin’s GeoSpatial Clearinghouse Portal development project. Expected to be used by hundreds, the portal will provide a means of publishing current geospatial information in support of the Hanford environmental cleanup and site decommissioning services being provided to the US Department of Energy.

Services included software installation, configuration, network security consulting, and data management and development consulting. Through web-based administration, the construction of user profiles for different uses and sensitive information is provided standard MapOptix functionality. Initial development performed on-site was for contaminated waste sites and well monitoring reporting. GeoNorth is currently providing ongoing network and security consulting. Secondary phase expected to begin soon will include the implementation of ArcSDE
