Portland, OR – GeoNorth is proud to announce the implementation of custom property assessment tool for the City of Airdrie, Alberta.

Users of the City’s interactive mapping application can now access property assessment information through an intuitive interface based on a search box and candidate list. Once a property is chosen, the tool performs a series of operations to return a simple report.

The unique nature of the data required some creative programming to return the information in a simple format. Because the property information is based on dynamic data from multiple sources, it has to be processed based on the current date and compiled into an aggregated data set. A number of operations were developed involving a coded property variation table, resulting in the simple report users ultimately see.

A key feature of this tool is its integration with City’s interactive mapping interface, also designed by GeoNorth. A link from the report takes the user to the map, allowing the user to see surrounding properties and features. Additional properties may then be selected and added to the report screen in an intuitive, tabbed interface which allows users to switch back and forth between multiple property reports.

This simple tool is available to all users of GeoNorth’s MapOptix application, as well as other custom web applications for ArcGIS Server. Please contact our Portland office for more information.
