GeoNorth, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Tatitlek Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) formed under the 1971 Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act.  GeoNorth is also a Certified US Small Business Administration 8(a) participant (SBA 8(a).  In addition, GeoNorth is also certifed as a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in several states in the United States, and will soon be federally certified under the DBE program.  As such, GeoNorth is eligible to participate in several federal and state preference programs that benefit ANC’s and their shareholders.

In addition to the 8(a) Program, GeoNorth is also qualified to participate in the Indian Incentive Program, which provides incentives to prime contractors that use Indian or Native-owned firms as subcontractors. Agencies and Prime Contractors can also utilize GeoNorth’s Small Disadvantaged Business status in their small business subcontracting goals.
